Goals

Takeaways

  • User is able to comprehend the App better when they are navigated with simpler and clearer navigation.
  • Vague and unclear navigation is causing confusion for users, leading to wasted time and frustration with the app. with the App.

Priority Issue

Home page issue relating to task 3, user is unable to find where to look up or view their reservation due to vague and unclear navigation name.

Task 3: Existing user would want to view his/ her existing reservation.

Solution

Separate existing itinerary and reservation into different navigation categories. Remove “Stays” navigation and replace it with “My reservation”. Change is shown on the next 2 slides.

CONCLUSION

Key Takeaways

  • Was able to deliver product that would ease the process of trip planning efficiently. Tourists would not need to spend much time planning for their trip, the itinerary list generated is based on the user’s  and his/ her companion’s interests.
  • A more organized itinerary for tourists.
  • Reservations would be more accessible to tourists.
  • Was able to deliver a product where we are able to share our trip’s experience and itinerary to family and friends.

Next Steps

  • In the future, if I’m given more time to develop this project, I would like to develop the “Chat” feature between users. I believe this feature would create a bridge between tourists and locals.
  • Incorporate “Stays” and “Transport” feature to the App. Tourists would be able to book stays/ hotels, transport and plan their trip at the same time.
  • Expand the features of communication between travelers who are going to travel together. The user’s companion who did not generate the itinerary would be notified by the App when the itinerary has been generated. He/ she would also be able to make changes and view the itinerary.
